Is Apple Starting To Go Downhill
It seems to me that Apple is starting to lose sight of why they were doing so well, and this may be the start of some of their momentum to start slowing down. Sure on a consumer level nothing has changed, but that’s what momentum does. It allows you to carry on, similar to BlackBerry, and then when the momentum slows down you realize all the mistakes that were made. In this post I go through and analyze what mistakes Apple is making.
Australian Open 2012: Why Tennis Can Only Go Downhill from Here
First, fans were lucky enough to be given the present of a Rafael Nadal versus Roger Federer semifinal that did not disappoint, as it went four exciting sets.
Then, in what was supposed to be the "dull" semifinal, fourth seed Andy Murray took defending champion Novak Djokovic to the wire, before eventually falling 7-5 in the fifth and final set.
Even though the final was set to feature one of the biggest rivalries in sports today, no way could it possibly top the amazing semifinals matches. No way could the final provide the same type of drama, could it?
His parents tell him that with his decisions his life is going to go downhill but he doesn’t feel like his life is going in that direction at all.
Get On The Phone!
You know how your parents always used to shout, “get OFF the phone,” well, now you’re in business, it’s a good time to ignore those shout outs and get ON the phone!
Social media is great and websites, blogs and microsites have their place, but they are still not the best way to close the deal.
Sure, like I’ve said before, I’ve had clients pay me for my services before ever speaking to them, but this not permission to avoid verbal communication.
How to Make Up an Excuse to Get Off the Phone
Don't you hate it when you ask a simple question, and your friend or relative is intent on blabbing for hours? This guide can help you out.
It was bound to happen - BBC creating its answer to Game of Thrones
With all of our iPhones and internet and what not, we sure love living in the past. We can't get enough of mud and arrows and sexy Viking types and don't TV execs know it. It's come as no surprise therefore, that BBC are developing their own take on the the medieval trend.
BBC America have announced that they'll be bringing Bernard Cornwell's series of books The Saxon Stories to life. Blending fictional characters with real historical events, it's no anything-goes Game of Thrones but it sounds fascinating. The author is well known for his Sharp series which was also adapted for the screen and starred Mr. Blood and Mud himself Sean Bean. It was a hee-uge success and we expect that The Last Kingdom (as the new series will be known) will follow suit.
It Was Bound To Happen (UPDATE: But It’s Not Going To Happen)
Since most of Hollywood is sneezing out babies everywhere, it was only a matter of time before Jennifer Foreveralone-iston gets in on the dirty diaper action. CORRECTION: It was only a matter of time before a magazine reports that Jennifer Aniston is getting in on the dirty diaper action. Star Magazine is saying that Jennifer has made space in her Cabbage Patch nursery for a real-life baby friend from Mexico!!! Mexico is Jennifer’s favorite locale to sun her nipples while miserably weeping into a Corona bottle, so it’s the perfect place for her to get a baby of her very own. And apparently, Jennifer volunteers at an orphanage there. A source claims Jennifer has already signed the adoption papers.
UPDATE: Shit. Just as I hit publish, Jennifer’s rep told People that Star Magazinemust have ripped this story out of her dream journal, because it’s not true at all.
He's still clean! Apparently, anyway.
Despite Charlie Sheen's increasingly disturbing and erratic behavior, the actor once again passed his FOURTH drug test this week, which brought in negative results for the presence of marijuana, cocaine, opiates and methamphetamine in his system.
He does, claim, however, that his estranged wife Brooke Mueller - who had a temporary restraining order placed against him due to the violent threats he allegedly made against her - is still using, and challenged her to match his drug tests.
"I'll match her test for test — I have nothing to hide. Brooke's gonna be doing a whole lot of these."
We're not exactly surprised.
It's pretty clear that while drugs may factor into his behavior, this is very much beyond that. He's clearly very mentally ill, and we're beginning to think that this whole debacle could end very badly if he's not put somewhere to be properly evaluated, and soon.
"I sit there and I'll look back and I'm like: I'm a smart person. What the hell was I thinking?"
