Nnamdi Asomugha: I Have A Bigger Chip On My Shoulder
“I don’t think the stage of my career matters that much. I don’t know that there’s been a season where I didn’t go in feeling like I had something to prove. I’ve had a chip on my shoulder every year that I’ve played. I think, obviously, it’s bigger this year because of the adversity I went through in Philadelphia. But it’s always been a part of my game is coming in and showing what I can do and now being able to be here and start fresh with that, it’s a great opportunity for that.”
In an interview Radcliffe, 24, said: ‘I have a massive chip on my shoulder.
‘When you fall into something at age 11 and get paid incredible amounts of money for your entire teenage years for doing a job anyone would want, there is a part of you that thinks everybody is just saying, ‘He got there because he fell into it; he’s not really an actor.’
‘It has taken a long time to feel like I’ve earned the place that I’m at’.
Research the insurance company’s claims process.
Most personal injury claims result from car accidents. If you’ve been involved in a car accident, the respective insurance company likely has a protocol it follows when handling personal injury claims. Familiarize yourself with the process so you’ll be an informed, active participant when it comes time to settle the claim. Insurance claims adjusters typically don’t have a legal background, so feel free to ask questions about the company’s process and expect answers free of confusing legalese. Personal injury claims resulting from home accidents can often be resolved without hiring a lawyer. When filing the claim, request information on the insurance company’s claims process so you know what to expect.

May I see your ticket? Guards become ticket checkers
Public transport security guards will soon have the right to check if passengers in the Helsinki region are carrying a valid ticket. These guard-cum-checkers will ride public transport during nights and weekends starting next year.
Helsinki Region Transport (HRT) is training ten security guards for the job. The training includes instruction on different ticket types, prices and customer service. Guards checking tickets, however, do not possess the same authority as traditional checkers.
“Checking a ticket is an exercise of public authority and fines can only be issued by official ticket checkers. Security guards can only check if a passenger has a ticket and, if necessary, remove a person from a train or station,” says HRT's Jaakko Heinilä.
HRT has been on a mission to make its ticket-checking operation more effective and has even recruited more people for the job. The organisation says free-riding passengers cause millions of euros in losses every year.
Often dressed head-to-toe in blue, HRT's ticket checkers are sometimes colloquially referred to as smurfs.
The subway’s expenses are made up of two aspects of its operation. The maintenance costs are the repairs, the inspections, the salaries of the drivers, and just about anything that relates to the subway’s wellbeing. The oversight costs are the salaries of the ticket checkers and any lost revenues from those who cheat the system and jump the turnstile (you see at the picture).
HOW TO CHECK TICKETS
A Ticket Checker is a device you can use to check your lottery tickets on your own to see if you have won. All LOTTO tickets and INSTANT tickets with a Scratch & Scan symbol can be checked through the Ticket Checker. Ticket Checkers are now installed at all lottery terminal retail outlets in Ontario and can usually be found on the in-store lottery display or on the retail counter.
The public travel passes in Rome are very straight forward. No complicated zonal system, peak or off peak variations or anything like that. Your ticket is valid for all public transport, (city buses, metro, trams and some rail lines) within the Rome urban area.
Your only decision is whether you need a 1, 3 or 7 day pass. Travel pass prices are at the foot of this page along with the prices of individual tickets. The travel passes are for calendar days, not 24 hour periods, e.g. a 1 day pass expires at midnight on the day of use.

You have been there. You have suffered from deadline stress. It could be at university, at work or even getting your car serviced. There is a looming deadline right around the corner. There is so much to do and so little time. Stress takes over. You panic. You freeze. You procrastinate. You find 101 other things to do. And then the situation looks more like the image below…
Well hold on there. You can choose to take control and overcome the deadline stress. These are my personal tips on excelling despite deadline stress, some of which are very closely linked to the productivity tips I’ve shared on an earlier post.
Race against the clock: Shinkansen staff have just 7 minutes to get bullet train ready to ride
"Against the clock" is a common English-language expression or idiom that is generally used when someone feels that he or she doesn't have enough time to complete a task by a deadline, and are, in effect, rushing against the clock to complete it. It is an expression that is often used in business environments where high-volume, high-stress conditions exist. Likely locations where racing against the clock to complete a task would be routine would include newspapers where stories must be completed on deadlines, and stock market trading floors where trades are affected by volatility and the closing bell end to a day's trading. Sports environments are another key area where literally racing against the clock to score often occurs when a team is behind in points with only minutes or seconds left in the game.

Instead they are racing against the clock to deliver the technical, complex, and highly political detail of how to establish a much more powerful and intrusive system of supervising European banks – a "banking union" that is seen as the first step in the long haul towards a federal Europe or political union as the systemic response to the euro crisis.

Get into a good mood to improve output
A new study of telephone customer service representatives shows just how important it is for employees to start the workday in a good mood. Employee mood has a clear impact on performance, including both how much work employees do and how well they do it.
Women More Likely To Wake Up On the Wrong Side of the Bed
Next time you call your husband out for being grumpy in the morning you may want to take a look in the mirror. CBS News reports about a Duke University study that suggests women are generally grumpier in the morning than men, especially when they haven’t gotten enough shut-eye.
The study also suggests women require a lot more sleep than men and show more signs of mental and physical distress when they aren’t clocking enough hours in bed. The recommended amount of sleep for the average adult is usually between 7 and 8 hours, but as a SheSpeaks poll finds more than 40% of women report getting only 6 hours on a week night.
